Different smile

by Forever   Mar 7, 2007

I thought I wasn't worth the attention
I locked myself away in my room and wept
Cold tears
Weeping until eyes sored and reddened
Thinking how so many guys had sworn they loved me
Made me feel wonderful
Made me smile
Reeled me in with lies and kisses
Then beaten me.

But my door is open now
You walked in and you knocked
You sat down and you smiled at my face
You held my arm, avoiding my bruises
Supporting my beaten limbs
I smiled.

A different smile from before.
