Fairytale Endings

Those books of princesses and their knights
Who ride from far, and climb great heights
Fight dragons of fire and many a heart
Sailing the seas creating an art
Braving the darkness; enlightening souls
Have shown us a lesson. Brought truth to the world.

Today we can sit...ponder upon stories
Living in awe at courage and glory
Audacious hearts that exist in the mind
Is making it hard for true love to find
The way into souls of young teens alike
Believing for love we must sacrifice

Those authors destroyed us, I think they should see
Happiness has been draining...Or is it just me
Wishing every moment is one that brings
A love that is richer than higher crowned kings
Oh, who are we kidding? Why take such a risk?
When fairytale endings will never exist.
