Never Open Again

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Mar 8, 2007

Weary wounds opened again,
A hundred holes I’m falling in

Fighting freedom and gaining ground
Trying to get out without a sound

Holding hands, but not knowing who
Feeling emotions incredibly untrue

Loving loneliness, happy alone
Heart’s as heavy as a stepping stone

Treating teardrops as a friend
Breaking as I try to bend

Hating everything that is now
Surviving life slowly somehow

Burning bridges broken before
Shutting windows and locking the door

Blocking off the way to my heart
Hoping to never get a fresh start

Such a dark poem, Lindsey. Just letting you know that you have numerous P+Q errors. Check it out.

I like the idea, but I think you have written better.
