Sea Of Sand

by RainbowSlider   Mar 8, 2007

I walked the windy sea of sand.
I wanted to quench my thirst.
I tried so hard to understand.
I knew then I wasn't the first.

I was in a large hourglass.
I saw the desert of forever.
I knew this must surely pass.
I thought we would be together.

I saw mirages as they danced.
I heard the howling wind echo.
I knew my sight was enhanced.
I felt the sand against me blow.

I tried to find a sense of direction.
I waited for the night to come.
I felt myself drawn to inspection.
I knew that I was welcomed.

I took a bite of the cacti.
I wanted more to drink.
I watched Spirits float by.
I had this and more to think.
