Life on show

by kida   Mar 8, 2007

What's the problem with everyone?
why can't they just leave me alone?
why is it that all i do
has to be on show for you?

you think it's funny just a laugh
all that s*** you care to ask
and nothing i can ever do
will ever be good enough for you

the time i spend alone i cry
bleeding wrists and swollen eyes
painkful knives and still it's true
this is all a joke to you

holding hands exchanging hearts
tearing our own souls apart
i try to escape but all i do
is a subject of ridicule to you

what's the problem with everyone?
why can't they just leave me alone?
why is it that all i do
has to be on show for you?

I like it, i think it's a good representation of society's need to "put on a show" for everyone else, and in turn watch/judge others as well. I especially liked,
"this is all a joke to you"
it really portrays a frustration/anger with other's inability to see through your view, or not take something seriously or bother to look into it enough. I also liked,
    "holding hands exchanging hearts
    tearing our own souls apart"
    Good job
