Sitting at my computer scoping out each page
my eyes are tearing up and my mind is full of rage
from reading articles that speak and reach into your soul
leaving you to wish that you didn't even know
The crime of everyday, the children that experience pain
I look at my own and think if I lost them I would go insane
You have mothers and fathers killing there own
cutting out an angels lifespan before their even grown
and it breaks my heart that it happens everyday
little baby's found in dumpsters cause their mother threw them away
You read about the stories of how a little body's found beaten and sexually abused
than you see a jail picture from the person thats accused
Some have a record of doing it before in the past
and you can't help but wonder why his jail time didn't last
You see kids taking guns and using them at school
whats going through their minds do they think that is cool
You see the people on the streets selling their crack and cocaine
than you look at a drug addict and you can see their pain
what has the world came to, why do we have in our lives
just the other day I was reading how a man admitted to killing his own wife
or even about a man who killed his own baby girl
cause he didn't want her to be a part of her mothers world
and just the other day in my own town
a four year old little girls body in a storage was found
and her 5 year old brother is still missing today
authorities suspect hes dead to but they wont say
It just gets me mad thinking how evil people can be
there are other options if they could of only seen
why kill a child barely out of the womb, when you can now take it to a hospital and leave in a room
why kill your daughter cause you don't like her mom
she had a life ahead of her and now forever she is gone
I just hate knowing what the world is coming to
sometimes when I read those articles I wish I never knew
