    As always, a beautiful poem. But i have to tell you, i interpreted it an a way i don't think anyone else would.
    You see my mom is called Dawn and you might know the whole story from RTVW but she doesn't live in this country anymore. She left and remarried with more kids and as i was reading this poem, it felt like it was talking about her.. if that makes sense

    "Breathe the nectar of the day
    Basking in the sweet perfume
    Listen to the morning birds
    That whistle softly, a lovely tune."

    That stanza especially reminded me of living in South Africa with her before i came back home and i could smell her perfume as we watched the sun rise..

    So i think it's safe to say, your poem has double meaning for me.
