Beauty To See

by Jenni Marie   Mar 9, 2007

Exploring the grounds
Smile upon my face
Here in grassy woodlands
Finally found my place

Watching the tiny rabbit
Scampering toward his hole
Can't help but feel reassurance
Deep inside my soul

Trees surrounding me
Upon either side
Reaching out, touching them
Overcome with pride

Hearing the sweet song of birds
I look up toward the sky
Feeling so at peace
As I watch them confidently fly

Hearing the tinkle of water
I head toward the sound
Let out an intake of breath
Gazing at the beauty I've found

Right there in front of me
There's a stream running free
Lily's floating upon the surface
There's so much beauty to see

Heat beaming down upon me
As I lift my face toward the sun
Out here in this perfect place
There's no room for being glum

Lying down on the ground
Forgetting about the past
Closing my eyes contently
Praying this beauty will always last
