When the sun shines

by just a little girl   Mar 9, 2007

When the sun shines,
I tip my face up to the light
and let the warmth sink into my skin.

Everything feels fine when the sun shines
I don't have to pretend that I'm happy
because I am happy.

When the sun shines,
I remember that there is hope
of a brighter tomorrow
when the light wakes me up in the morning.

The sun is the creator of life in this world,
without it nothing could ever exist
and when I see and feel it every day,
it gives me my life back.

*not sure which category this should go in, I put it in nature cause the sun is kind of like nature, but if anyone has any other suggestions on where this poem could go then please comment and tell me*

I like the complexity behind the simplistic wording. Love nature poems, by the way. ^.^ 5/5
