This is such a deep and powerful poem. I think we all carry burdens like this through life.. Some learn to over come them and others are over come by them. Excellent job on this poem!

Knowing that light comes after the dark
I cleanse my impurities each and every day
Gripped by the fingers of evil past
Dragging me down the road of despair
In the end no one but He shall care

In the end and also with us all in the begining.

"This feeling grips me now and again
Grabbing the roots of my soul, my foundation
Creeping in slowly, an ugly feeling of familiarity
The lowlights of my life play through mind
Never knowing where they will stop, what I will find"

This stanza just lept out at me. The indecision, confusion, and questions. You have brought it all.

Very well done. Like the structure of this piece. Flowed well and great message.

Bill this line really stood out to me, maybe because I can totally relate to it.
You never fail my friend to carve a deep feeling into my heart with your words.

Have a wonderful weekend, my dear friend. Enjoy nature's beauty as you take that long ride this weekend.
Take care & be safe, my friend
