Hurtful Knowledge

by DeepSoul   Mar 9, 2007

Sometimes I don't understand
how some can be so cruel.
Or how someone could break a heart,
or act like such a fool.

Saying things that they don't mean
whenever they get mad,
and hurting those they used to love,
distroying what they had.

He wonders why she starts to cry
when he treats her like she's not there,
he thinks she's just being emotional,
but really, she knows he doesn't care.

That knowledge hurts like a hundred knives
stabbing her fragile, broken heart.
She cries into her pillow, her only friend
wishing that that "love" never start.

*The knowledge that the one you love doesn't love you back anymore hurts worse than anything else.*
