Everlasting

by Unrequited   Mar 9, 2007

Soon we all perish.
a morning rise from tragedy
we become our past,
only to breathe our last.
we capture the crown,
dishonor the throne.
a sinner's remorse:
buried by time,
our innocence lost.
but still we are
able to love.

reigning sorrow has eroded my skin.
pain and pleasure expires,
leaving my eyes without color.
gray is no more my identity;
my excuse, no longer my pride.
i have nothing left,
no potential stapled to my name.

but i still have you.
your promise
tattooed upon my chest.

a gray haze,
shadowed by your grace,
your unrelenting splendor.
perpetually wrapped up by wicked calling,
devoured by misery of disgrace.
God has a plan for us all...
my life consumed by spyders,
aching for the flesh of the adored.
my plan has been cut short.

but i still have you.
your promise
tattooed upon my chest.
the guiltless gaze of an angel.
a gift from love, the restoration of hearts
as blood ceases to descend.
all sorrow banished
by your purity and love.

It would be better if you caps lock the capital letters and some symbol interrupted the poem
But other than that it has a good wording and flow
    Keep it up
