One last chance

by tori   Mar 9, 2007

I gave you one last to change your ways
but you just seemed to disobey.

You got locked up for a while.
I thought that was the end of your smiles.

Your face grew pale
Your teeth grew yellow
I wish we could go back to the
days when you were just a fellow.

Your eyes grew cold.
Yours body grew old.
What happened to the man
I used to love to hold.

Your body grew tired.
You soon got fired.
was this all along
your secret desire.

Your addiction got worse as
time went by.
Oh how those three years seemed
to fly.

I visit your grave every once in a while.
every time somehow i manage to smile.

I cry a little each day as i wonder
what would life be like if you
had just changed your ways?
