The Monster (Part 1 1/2)

by My Obsεssion   Apr 8, 2004

One must be cautious
With you lurking about
You are known to strike
Randomly and without warning
But one thing always remains the same
The target you lash out at
For when you attack
It’s always straight for the heart

Everyone knows you
Some might have sweet memories
Due to your existence
While others have tried to forget
Your previous presence
There are still others
That might not recognize you

You are truly a two-faced beast
You can be as gorgeous as life
Or as hideous as death
You bring happiness to some
And sadness to others
Your coming may be welcomed whole-heartedly
Of desperately avoided
You may cause some bliss while others lie in pain because of your visit
You are the reason why most are brought into this world
And why others are taken away
