This poem is amazingly written, I love how the lines were kept short but the meaning is far bigger. I don't believe to poem offends at all. amazingly written 5/5

The repetition is wat i loved the most, the same line starting each time. but i guess that you either love it or hate it, others might find it annoying repeating so much but for me, i love it!

    5/5 David

  • This was a great poem. I loved the repitition in it. In so little words was a big meaning. Good job 5/5

I liked this poem! I do not think it was offensive at all I don't really know why any one would take offense to it but anyways back to the poem...I loved the last stanza

    Ninety-nine mothers
    On handkerchiefs wept
    In fright and sorrow
    Of the family that left

I thought that was absolutly brilliant lol it showed a lot of sorrow and meaning like I could picture them just standing there bawling there eyes out atleast I hope that is what you wanted me to imagine this was an excellent poem I loved how you repeated the ninety nine men thing it was a great way to Rhyme with out being obsessive with the word if it makes any sence at all lol I also loved the part about the children just so angry someone could hurt someone they loved so very much I know what it is like and I can just picture the children in my mind I loved the part about slavery because I hate absolutly hate racism and you putting it in here was just absolutly fabulous because it flowed so nicely

    Ninety-nine men
    Fought for bravery
    Not for patriotism
    Or to defeat slavery

like woah how did you come up with that lol I loved the whole hiding behind timbers part because I watched a movie and that is what they did always hiding for things and reasons that did not need to be happening or be concerning with I think it is absolutly horrible and barbaric but
I loved your poem and the words and rhyming and scheem and everything nice job 5/5 kaila

This is sorrowful and beautiful... and that's why I love it. The flow seemed to work really well, and the message is strong. The lines were very short, but I was still able to feel the sadness of the children and mothers. I had to just sit and think after I read this, just so I could let all the beauty of it sink in!

I believe I've already commented this poem but I will do it again...I loved it then and Ilove it now...
    my favorite part is:
    Ninety-nine children
    Remember their kin
    And felt a swelling
    Of anger within
    I loved this ^^^
