Look what life has done to me
Everything is a mess and i must confess
i am a total mess and sometimes i wonder
why not feel pain on the outside when u feel it within?
u may shudder at the thought of pain inside
but u get used to it just like u get used to be stabbed in the back
for something u lack or for not fitting in.
when life gets u down in the dumps it is real bad
everyone around you doesn't care
so you put on a mask and hide the truth
that deep inside, under your appearance
there is pain, oh great pain
and you hold everything inside of you,
you feel like you will burst but nobody will listen
so what choice do you have other than keeping it to yourself
you tried to tell someone they thought it was a joke,
sometimes you wish you could just disappear
run away to Africa or somewhere not near to here
then maybe you could find happiness but i doubt it a lot
because the pain inside you can't be fixed
too much damage has been done already
if you find someone who feels the same as you things get a little better
but you never get healed, they offer you support and you support them back,
its like a comfort group who help you stay alive
you can tell them what's inside and they help you through it
and then they tell you and you help them through
you are glad to can relate to others and when in times of desperation
you can talk to the few who actually care and support you
and they can help u make it through
but one thing is true: no matter what they do
the pain in you is always true,
it won't go away and you don't know what to do
they can numb the pain, but not forever
eventually it will all come back
and that is that
