She Loves Me Not

by Love Fallacy   Mar 11, 2007

She loves me, she loves me not,
Our love is like a rose.
Only after time and care,
More beautiful it grows.

Petals fall as words are said,
Are love a question mark.
A fire that once burned inside,
Now only is a spark.

She loves me, she loves me not,
I wish she would have stayed.
Memories used to linger on,
The scent it starts to fade.

The plants leafs start to wither,
We start to drift apart.
Slowly dying from inside,
My love has left my heart.

She loves me, she loves me not,
The stem has finally broke.
Hug and a goodbye kiss,
But no words were even spoke.

The plant once was beautiful,
Just like the love they shared.
But now nothing left at all,
At the end no one cared.

I love the rose metaphor, it just tells the story wonderfully. The title makes me think of a song by a band called Tatu. Great poem.
