Helplessly In Love

I want to lie in your arms forever,
Like this, under the moonlight.
In the shadows where nothing can shake me,
And no one can make me
Leave this heaven.
I will stay. And in the end,
It won't be me who walks away.

I want to contemplate the wonders
And count my blessings with you.
If you've ever pondered upon lies,
Then think brightly of the truth
Because I'm here with you
And I will never leave this place,
Where I feel wanted...I am safe.

I need you. Doesn't that matter?
Though my past has left me shattered,
You reshaped it - perfectly
Opened up the softer side of me
And I feel useful in the darkness now
You've brought happiness to me somehow.
Tonight, my heart has thought it through
I'm helplessly in love with you.

    Read this poem yesterday...dunno why I didn't comment it then. But I'm glad I read it again tonight. It's just so amazing. This is the type of poem I wish I could actually relate to. Lol. But not yet, I guess. Anyways...I really liked the last stanza. Beautiful write.
