Not Enough

by xoxShorteexox   Mar 11, 2007

Starving children,
being born into poverty,
their only mistake.
Hundreds of them,
won't make it through the night,
for their food is little.
Clean water,
not for them,
and not enough food for them all.
Striving for the will to live,
one more day,
fighting for their lives.
Their parents trying,
to keep their hopes up,
though their cabinets are bare.
The children wake up,
only to find,
that their friends didn't make it through the night.
For they died,
in their sleep,
from lack of food.
Dropping like flies,
there'll soon be nothing left,
of the children who had no choice.
But to live in poverty,
because they were born,
into a world that doesn't have enough.
