It Was Too Late

by IdTakeABulletForYou   Mar 11, 2007

He looked at her,
Eyes with such
... Pity.
Afraid to see her
Cry,
Afraid to see her
Breakdown because
Of his own stupid
Mistake.

He looked at her with
Love,
A love that was quickly
Fading,
Speedily disintegrating before their
Eyes.

Their hands were so
Loose,
Someday, they were bound to pull
Apart;
Break loose of the
Chains
That love had placed up on them.

He wanted to
Hug
Her, and hold her, keep her
Safe
Forever, and never let her
Go.

But it was too late.
He already had.

Okay. I like it, but i feel like we didn't get the ending we needed. Why didn't it work out? How did he lose her. was it his doing, or did she pull away and he just let her go?! :(

although i voted 5, someone else must have voted less =/ morons! They don't know what good poetry is..
