Irony Of My Life

I searched for salvation
When I opened my heart

I looked for an ending
When never did I start

I peered in to heaven
But all I saw was hell

Its hard to see clearly
When you're stuck inside your shell

Never to talk to the enemy at hand
Who would have guess my appending best friend

So eager to run not wanting to walk
As now I look back, you cant beat the wind

The irony of my life is
I needed someone new

For years you were right there
And yet Ive just found you.
