Off the rails

They're heading for destruction,
something that I know well,
so how come they don't see it?
why can they not tell??
The endless fighting,
means that communication fails,
can they not see the train is firmly off the rails?

The pain is bubbling up,
they're going to explode,
How can they not see whats waiting down this road?

They are heading for a melt down and then all will be lost,
why can they not see what its surely going to cost?

A little time and effort, is all that it would take,
to prevent such a disaster, to correct their huge mistake

Why can they not see, this train is off the tracks?
are we just supposed to stand and wait,
ever listening for the crash??
