The darkness enshrouds the light
The light that could've brought strength
It all could've been different
It was something that could've had length

A time when we were all young
Unsure of what was and could've been
Looking back on all this now
Should I have taken the chance then

The same feeling is ever present
As hard as it is to believe
That anything can be so real
It is so hard to really conceive

How long ago did this exist
How long can it still persist
Nothing can make so much sense
When I feel as if I have missed

Under the influence of oh so much
I should feel like its over
But day, after day, after day
I still feel like I need to show her
