Burben and Coke

by stephanie   Mar 12, 2007

His breath smelt as
If he's been drinking
Burden and coke all night

As he walked closer
To where I was I
Could smell it on him

I smelt it from
His lips as he came
Close to kiss her forehead

She couldn't stand that
Lingering smell on him
As they dance hand in hand

It felt as though he
Was so much sweeter
Than he was normally

But his breath smelt as
If he's been drinking
Burden and coke all night

As they drove home he
Said to her those
Three little words

she just turned and
Looked away out
At the night sky

When she said nothing
he asked what
Was wrong with her

she said nothing
The burden and coke
Was still strong smelling

His breath smelt strong
Every time he rose
His voice in anger

Laying in bed he
Yelled and hollered
As she packed her stuff

She walked out the
Door crying all the
Way to the car.

His breath smelt as
If he's been drinking
Burden and coke all night...
