Self-Inflicted Inflammation

by Jemma   Mar 12, 2007

They will burn
Self-inflicted inflammation
Assisted suicide
Hollow degradation

The lies sink deep within their skin
Their hearts crinkle and start to tear
As they walk the hot rock stairs
But there’s so much more pain to bear

They say dress for a heat wave
Descend to the dingy depths
To the blazing inferno
To be smothered in their deaths

Oh, they will burn
They spend each day in limbo
Breathing in the stale, dead air
Such a grim resurrection
But they no longer care

They will burn
Self-inflicted inflammation
Assisted suicide
Hollow degradation
They will burn
