Gifts & Curses

by ntv650   Mar 12, 2007

She belongs to the words in the songs,
I try to be strong for her and not wrong to her.
Why did I say those things before, was I sure?
The city lights shine for her, I'll not cry for her,
Why then do I still find myself unsure of her,
Her gifts and curses with every breath I take.

I have a purpose in her, something I must do,
But she won't know if she does not wait.
That I would still always find her if she chose,
Or if she would let me fight on for her,
Her gifts and her curses that I won't just let go...
