Should she tell him

She sits alone
cigarette in hand
trying to make sense of it
trying to understand
writing out her thoughts in bits of poetry
for an answer to her problem
this girl begins to plea
she is so confused
her feelings have changed again
she has fallen in love
with one of her closest friends
she takes a long slow drag
the some drifts into the sky
as she stares up wondering
which choice is right
should she tell him how she feels
or keep her thoughts concealed
does she really love him
is love even real
never before in 17 years
had she been so confused
but here she sat, all alone
wondering what to do
if she spills out her emotions
will he fill the same
or will her reject her
smile, and walk away
should she tell him anyway
just letting her feelings be known
but is the truth worth knowing
if she has to let him go
