Don't Tell Me What To Do!

You laugh and you joke
And you think it's all a game
Your words are making me choke!
So stop driving me insane

Don't tell me how to wear my hair
It's my image here not yours
What your thoughts are, I don't care!
We all have a few flaws

Don't tell me what to wear tonight
I'm sure I can dress myself
You know your not always right!
Put that skirt back on the shelf!

Don't tell me to go ice-skating!
If only you knew the truth
Every time I go I'm hating
You know he will be there too

Don't tell me to put it in the past
Every time he sees me
He puts me in a cast
Can't you see through to my pain?

Don't tell me not to worry
Because worry is what I do
And I'm sure you would scurry
At the site of the man who hurt you!

Don't tell me to stand up to him
It's a whole lot harder than that
It's like facing the grim
To look at the guy who r a p e d you!

Don't tell me to calm down
I'm serious now STOP
You cannot stop my frown
I'm not going out tonight!!

Don't tell me I have no choice
It's my life at risk not yours!
I can't hear his cold dark voice
But apparently you don't care!!

Stop telling me what to do!
I'm the one in pain
And if you even knew
Than maybe you would care

So don't tell me what to do
I can figure that out myself
I really don't need you
Making me feel so much worse.
