Contradiction

by Rebecca   Mar 14, 2007

She sees in black and white,
But dreams in color.

She dreams about love,
But loves to live her life with hate.

She sees how happy the world is,
But feels so much pain and sorrow.

She strays from the darkness,
But hides from the light.

Her eyes reflect justice and security,
But her mind reflects crime and punishment.

She looks strong and open-minded,
But inside, she feels weak and sheltered.

She feels alive and awake,
But is decaying in her dreams.

The world is a warm, sunny globe,
But inside her, burns a storm, so cold.
