This Rose Called Life

by ImTheGirl   Mar 14, 2007

A rose is a perfect example of life
And the many trials we go through
Sometimes we move along easily
While at other times we arent sure what to do

The stem of this rose is our path
That leads us right to out dreams
It looks easy enough right
But nothing is as it seems

Because then the thorns come along
And with them a lot of strife
A lot of headaches and pain
So much for a stress free life

A lot of mistakes and backtracking
A lot of fixing and making things right
A lot of bumpy roads and detours
And a lot of sleepless night

A lot of pricks and cuts
That we try our best to mend
Just until we get to the top
Or al least to where the thorns seems to end

But once we reach the top
We see that it was all worthwhile
That the pain begins to ease
And on our face forms a smile

Cause now we have proved to the world that we can do it
And that no obstacle can stand in our way
That the thorns were only temporary
But the rose of success is here to stay
