Trapped in the moonlight

by Pondering Thoughts Of Nothing   Mar 16, 2007

Lightening flashes across the sky.
A glimpse of madness in your eye.
The rain just falls and streaks your face.
Hair dances in the wind,
Like fine woven lace.
You sit there all broken,
In your grace and your glory.
No one can comprehend your entire story.
I can't escape your icy glare.
In the dark I can feel it there.
Stuck within a patch of gray.
I feel you here, just take me away.
Within this madness with something amiss,
I seem to find a slight hint of bliss.

I love poems that take the reader on the path to madness and insanity. You did a great job with this one. It still lingers in my mind.

    Keep it up
    Always,
