Never to Return

by Ana Vidovic   Mar 16, 2007

Thou art carved your visage into my head
And painted it so perfectly into my heart
That I shall never forget to weep for thee
And never dispel of my dismal state
One single tear thou shed for me. Long ago.
The day I let thee leave.
Since then I have bled a million, and one.
Passive remorse grips me like a fierce rope
Strung around mine neck,
Suffocating into the deep, blue oblivion
As I Drown in the years we spent. Together,
Once more, please, one touch, please, one look, please
I would die happily today just to kiss your lips
And feel your heart, and smell your scent,
and die, yes die, in your hands,
And live, yes, live only in your heart
So let me haunt you, as you haunt me
Please -feel the misery, the love, the hate,
Is it not the same?
But do not leave me my sweet lover
Too late, I fear. I have shoved thee
And thou art never to return.

    Hey,

That was really nice, different .. rarely see someone attempt to write using that form of language! Well, at least I haven't come across it .. : )

It was honest! Keep it up!

Very tragic. An unfortunate end to the most selfless love. It has some of the most beautiful lines. Well done. A 5.
