If Only Life Had a Delete Button

If only life had a delete button,
I'd erase every memory of you,
I'd erase this pain,
and I'd forget you.

If only life had a delete button,
your face would be gone,
your smile I'd have no memory of it,
and your touch I'd soon forget.

If only life had a delete button,
I'd erase the love I have for you,
my heart I gave you,
and the thought that you might have actually loved me.

If only life had a delete button,
I'd be happy right now,
for there'd be no you,
no me with you,
and no tears steaming down my face.

If only life had a delete button,
I'd be cured of all these lies,
there'd be nothing left of you,
instead of nothing left of me.

If only life had a delete button,
I could delete all the bad,
and good would be all I remembered,
which means there'd be no you.

If only life had a delete button,
but things aren't that simple,
nor is my love for you,
or this pain that's so real.
