All The City Lights

by Jason Billin   Mar 16, 2007

The silence is deadly
in more ways that I can explain
in my current state
I do not wish this upon any one
it is the most dreadful feeling a beating heart can hold.

The silence is deadly
I do not want to give back sadness to the world
that I believe was given to me
the fantasies of my life have brought me to a road
I have walked before
it will stop
it has to stop

The silence is deadly
I have one light switched on as I write this
it is haunting me of the life I do not want
A life with one light burning
a night without a love, the lover, the kisser, the most beautiful girl....
I have one light and it is diminished
I blame everyone else but myself
that is the glow that burns me
my own light

The silence is deadly
it is killing me slowly
time will cure whatever is meant for us
I believe in you
you are my light
I am yours
I don't need all the damn lights in the city
I need yours, I need your eyes to watch the city with me

The silence is deadly
I will clutch your pillow
it is you
naked in the light
calm me, cool me, kiss me
with the most beautiful lips on earth
Yours
your light shines the most beautiful in the world.
