The reality of my nightmare

by rubberduckii   Mar 16, 2007

The candles flame lowers
as my eyes start to close.
Im going to a place,
where my nightmares impose.

Its my greatest fears
coming to life.
Here, i just cant hide the tears,
here, i gotta be real.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She lay there
battered and bruised.
she watches him as he leaves the room.
he laughs at what he's done.
This is the routine,
she goes through everyday.
Him coming home,
and having his way,
with the product of his own,
which in her face, it is shown.
She tries to tell mom,
but she is in denial
that the man who was once such a loving father
would abuse his own child.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My eyes open
to the slamming of the door.
He is back,
and i try to ignore.

His hands make a fist.
He's been drinking, i can see.
Who's next on his list?
Cause he finally got me.
