Those whispers

I remember staying up late night
Hearing you whisper in my ear
Telling me the things I want to hear
You seem to know what’s just right.

I remember how happy you made me feel
It was like a fantasy
Together forever just you and me
But everything was real.

But the day came that you had to go
You told me not to cry
And then sadly you said goodbye
Why did you leave, I just want to know?

It’s been lonely lately
Days flew by fast
I would always find myself
looking into the past.

Waiting still
At this very spot
Waiting to hear your soft whispers
waiting to see your face to turn red hot.

50 years have past
Still I wait to hear
Those whisper at last.
