The putrid little fairy

The putrid little fairy
sitting in a tree
the putrid little fairy
wishing death for thee

that smile, how much he'd wish to wipe
to smash it from your face
to all the world, you were a god
but he was a disgrace

he clenched his fists as anger boiled
it threatened to unleash
the pain and sorrow the fairy felt
as he landed on his knees

he slowly moved towards you
enraged at how you looked
so poised and yet so threatened
and out his wand he took

he moved a little closer
as you slowly turned around
he aimed his wand right at you
and watched you hit the ground

he saw a piece of paper
fall freely from your hand
he watched it as it made it's way
slowly to the ground

he picked it up and read it out
and felt a surge of shock
he felt his legs would soon give way
and he collapsed onto a rock

he felt the tears roll down his cheeks
as his shock turned then to guilt
you told him you didn't like the friends
and the reputation you had built

you told him you admired him
and would like to be his friend
you said you once despised him
but like him at the end

you said how much you watched him
as he did whatever he pleased
you said you thought him funny
when you saw the people he teased

he sat there softly crying
sad he'd lost a friend
he wished he hadn't killed you
he wished his life would end

but as he looked down at you
you slowly rose to stand
a smile had spread across his face
until he saw the wand in hand

he knew you wanted payback
and he knew that he would pay
an idea flashed into his head
to make sure you could stay

he prayed to all the soulless gods
he prayed to give his life
he prayed that he would die instead
and you could stay alive

he saw his body floating
high above his head
as you came back to lead your life
in the place of what's now dead
