The honey bee runs

by KAP DAR   Mar 17, 2007

The history of the honey bee
runs beside the fate of you and me
Since the dawn of time
mankind has depended
on the honey bee
for all that bees bring
to complete our palate's
on which we thrive
to pollinate the plants
on which we dine
as do all living things
will this nectar become rare
because the honey bees
are not near
bee population has become
increasingly scarce
blame can be placed
on the industrial corporate exploitation
as a sexual assault on nature

like the canary in the coal mine
bees have become our warning sign
the excessive addition of chemicals
and genetically modified food
wont let bees do
what bees do
to produce and to pollinate
a tree of life to a apples delight
the quest of more more more
has backfired as a foot note
this is genetic roulette
with unexpected consequences
humans can fool them selfs
some of the times
but humans can not fool
mother nature all of the time
let this bee
be a lesson to us all.
