Peer Pressure

by The battleground in your heart   Mar 17, 2007

You always worry about what other people think,
about what you wear,
how you talk,
and who you hang out with.
You never took a second look
at who your real friends were,
the ones who were always there
and would never turn their back on you.
Unlike you, they didn't care how you looked
they just wanted a circle of trust,
a person to share their thoughts with
and to have your back at all times.
But now that you are a backstabber
I guess it doesn't matter who we are,
now that there is no turning back,
I guess this means good-bye.....

THis poem had so much passion and emotion, that I got swept away in your writing. I really liked evrything about the poem, and when I think about life, what you wrote is true in such cases. Great job!

I think you did a very good job on this. I use to have these problems with some of my friends. Not so much anymore. This is a well-written piece and you did a good job of just getting your point across.
