Suffocated by air

by Sarah   Mar 17, 2007

The clouds wrap around me,
I hold on as tight as possible,
Let me go I beg them,
I'm being suffocated by air.

They refuse to release me,
From their forceful grip,
Which is killing me slowly,
I'm being suffocated by air.

This is my prison I built,
To lock myself up so relentlessly,
I thought it would help me,
But I'm being suffocated by air.

You stand and watch over me,
I scream as loudly as I can,
But you just turn and walk on by,
Letting me be suffocated by air.

Who knew that we could die,
From the thing that kept us alive,
From the thing that stopped us suffocating,
So how can I be suffocated by air.

I lie down on my back,
And I close my eyes,
I begin to dream I'm in a better place,
After being suffocated by air.
