Could I Just Leave It All Behind And Go?(Sonnet)

by Rae   Mar 18, 2007

Yesterday, angry and alone, I packed.
I thought that I had made a good decision
No one seemed to notice when I lacked.
I left; I had no one's permission.
At the fork in the road, which way to turn?
Being all alone brought back my old fears
For my mom and dad I began to yearn
I felt like I had not been home for years
I decided that I had to go back.
Nightmares are as mean as big, scary bears.
I need to change my life to white from black
I have to face all of my worst nightmares
I'm going to change my life for the good.
Life will be as merry as Robin Hood.
