The Beauty Within (Part III)

Hope races back to the forest
And to the river edge
She dives under and gets the body
And pulls her up to a ledge

Misery is ice cold
So Hope pulls her along
Trying to cheer the dead
By singing a song

When she reaches the figure
Hope gives Spite the girl
Spite removes her hood
To reveal a head of curls

"She once was my sister,"
Spite begins
"She was the one
Always committing the sins

"She deserved to be dead
Suicidal, at the least
Now follow me, Hope,
And prepare for a feast"

Spite lead Hope to a cliff
And threw Misery over
Hope couldn't figure out
Just what drove her

"Now for my love"
Said Hope, unforgetting
"All in due time"
Said Spite, uncommiting

She lead Hope to the castle's
Wrought iron gate
And lead her inside
To fulfill her fate

Her loved one, not there
Came the realization
Hope fell to the floor
Fixed with dramatization

"You've done well for me
So I must do well for you"
Said Spite, though kind
Rarely followed through

Spite carried her to the forest and announced,
"Your love is dead
I watched him leave
He was so full of dread"

Hope wished to die too
To leave the pain
She clouds soon covered
And it began to rain

Hope gathered her thoughts
Spite wanted her to stay
"I know someone
Who will wash the tears away"

This was not enough
As Hope jumped into the river
Her love was not really dead
He stepped out and began to quiver

"Spite! You did it!
Committed the ultimate sin!
You've made her kill herself for love
But I still love the beauty within"
