Dreams and Fears

by x Mo x   Mar 18, 2007

Do I want the dreams
Deep inside my heart?
Do they really show who I am?
Right down to the last part?

Do I lose them easily?
Can I shed them like tears?
Or can I keep them forever;
Out live them beyond fears?

Each time I try
My dream doubles.
For that split-second in time
I forget all my troubles.

But every time I am stopped
My eyes well with tears.
My heart fill up too,
Only, instead, with unwanted fears.

For as my heart fill with fear,
My dreams are captured inside.
Behind every fear
Is a dream that has died.

This is a very powerful poem...
You should hang on to your dreams tightly, and pursue them with everything you have in you. Fears may try to come and take them away, but don't let that stop you, always hold your dreams close to your heart.

It's a very good poem you have there, though...

I feel like I am just repeating myself, but this is once again another wonderful poem, I love the last part, about how behind every fear is a dream that has died, I know what its like to have a heart full of fear.

The dream line from the other poem would fit better here. Interesting poem. I like this one a lot. You use simple rhymes, but your ideas, phrases, are original.
