Silhouettes

by Jen   Mar 18, 2007

Blurred
You're pushed around
Forgotten, nonexistent
In a sea of figures
Just a silhouette
Before the rising sun

Hesitant
You're waiting there
Unnoticed, invisible
In a rush of static
Just a silhouette
Against the sapphire sky

Defeated
You're losing another battle
Neglected, overlooked
In the silence of despair
Just a silhouette
Falling with the sunset

Consumed
You're sinking slowly
Lost, gone, absent
Into soft unconsciousness
Just a silhouette
In the dejected moonlight

You keep telling yourself
You're alone
Unchanged and constant
Just another silhouette.

But we're all silhouettes
In the darkness...

right?
