Everywhere I look I see his face,
It reminds me that I'm just one big disgrace.
I was never the greatest child,
You could even say that I was a tad bit wild...

I won't pretend that I'm amazing; I won't put on a show.
I have news for you, I have let my old life go.
I will be the best me,
This is me finally breaking free...

Hello, love, this is the improved me;
It's a shocker, I'm sorry it doesn't make you happy.
I won't pretend to be more like you;
I'm fine with myself and the things I do.

I may not eat; but I'm still trying.
I won't walk around getting your attention by lying.
I do the things I want; you can't change the facts.
But baby listen, I won't take you back...

    An excellent read! Do you regulary upload poems? Thats great more readin pleasure for me! :) Thank you for adding me to your favourites, i added you yesterday as well. Lol. Anyways this poem was brilliant! You kept me engaged form the first line and i loved the ending:
    "But baby listen, I won't take you back..."
    It was such a strong and powerful conclusion. I really loved it. I loved your punctuation in this one, i love the fact your using it more now. Good rhyming that didnt seem forced. Overall a really enjoyable read. Keep it up, i look forward to reading more! xx
