Okay so I'm thinking about the past
When I had a love I thought would last
I was a mere fourteen
He was the love of my life at eighteen

He constantly told me that he loved me
And he told me that "we" will always be
He was great
The love of my life by fate

But a year passed
It didn't last
He found a girl
And made her his whole world

I was left alone
Crying in my own home
I told him it was okay
But there were things that I didn't say

I didn't want him to go
Oh how I loved him so
I didn't care about age
He was the only one whole placed me in his heart instead of a rotting cage

And look here I am; still wondering what could have been
All the thoughts inside my head; are complete and total sins
I loved him, yet I let him go
