Sitting alone in silence
I place my head
In my hands
Hoping the thoughts
Swarming my mind
Would subside
Breathing deeply
Attempting to smother
The rage that burns
Deep within my chest
Tears fill my eyes
Blurring my vision
Softly,slowly
My lids fall
Releasing warm crimson drops
Gently they cascade
Streaking my cheeks
In that second
There is peace.
