Finding My Lost Friend

Ive been wanting to tell you something for a long time
Something thats been hiding in my heart for a long while
That could not be told unless you ever decide to listen
Maybe it was me who's been scared to let out my voice
To look at your eyes and confess all thats been inside
But now I just want to go over there to you and talk to you
About the days, weeks, months that has passed us
To apologize about that one postcard that I did not respond

Although miles apart I want to be your friend again
I pray that you would let me be close to you

Because I'm ready to be hurt but I'm also ready to love
So I hope that you hold my hand when I reach out to you
