Missing You

by Francine   Mar 19, 2007

(this is an old one, July 5, 1994 I wrote it about an ex that I tried to get in contact with but I found out that he had died months earlier in a gang related shooting)

Missing you, so I search for a memory
And I remember the night we met.

Missing you, I kind of smile
Your smile I could never forget.

Missing you, so I called and called,
But no one ever answered the phone.

Missing you, I thought I'd see you again,
How could I have ever known?

Missing you, I wonder where you are.
Could you really be gone that way?

Missing you, I pray that it's a lie,
I don't want to believe what they say.

Missing you, I'll always wonder
Why it had to be you.

Because missing you is the hardest part,
Of knowing that it is true.

Missing you always.

In memory of Benny Dean Collins

Nice we all miss someone I really like this
    poem. Diddy's song <missing you>will
always be one of my fav. do you like that song. yea you proably do since we always
like the same stuff. Its hard to believe we
are so far apart in age.

    It must be our pain
    that makes us the
    sane

    We must be the game
    that drives us insane

sorry i ws on a round
    must be the poet
    inside of me
    p.s. speaking of missing

Very beautiful, flowy way of telling the story and at the same time express the feelings of missing him and disbelief..... i do really like the way all your poems flow very nicely (i'm sorry i say the word flow to you alot, its a great consistant aspect to all your poems)
