View on Emotion

by Dwain   Mar 19, 2007

Bread and water
Sustain life
Pain, sorrow, joy
Formulate ideals
Emotions outweighed
Scale of ideals unbalanced
Inner thoughts tip over
Produce outward action
Overbearing of negatives
Depression and anger entail
Immense sum of positives
Blind to pains
Control through catharsis
Scale at equilibrium
Devoid of catharsis
Bread and water
Sustain unfulfilled life

This poem was originally half a page of a rant on emotion. I took the rant and condensed it into a poem and this is the product.
